So this is going to be super short and simple and probably boring…I am back logging, I made this recipe a few MONTHS (omg!) ago. Wow it’s been longer than I thought.
I spent a decent part of this winter in Florida with my parents, escaping the snow and cold and my mom was on a Crock Pot Fix. My sister gave her one for Hanukkah, so she was all gun ho and wanted to learn and play with it.
So I taught her my ways, we Pinterest-ed, and then shopped and then Crock Pot-ed together, it was fun.
Here’s the recipe:
What did I learn from this recipe?
*pork chops don’t really need to be slow cooked- this would have been just as good if they were cooked in the oven
*my mom is silly haha…the recipe says to layer them in the crock pot, on top of each other, it was so long ago that I can’t remember exactly what she did but it was one of those things where she followed it so LITERALLY that it was funny…
The thing with this recipe is that it is so silly simple. It’s just lemon pepper seasoning and the Crock Pot. It was almost as if the Crock Pot was used just so this could be cooked while you are away at work, which I totally support, but there are recipes where the slow cooking really ADDS to the dish, like pulled pork. PORK BUTT is something that should be cooked in the Crock Pot (and we did that too!) but this was just okay…
To be honest, I wouldn’t and haven’t made this again, but for some reason I kept this link long enough that I wanted to dedicate a blog post to it. Must have been because of the experience of cooking with mom, always fun!
